Surprise Sephora Palette!

Hello lovelies! So since returning back to work this week after being ill, my blogging has taken a back-seat again as I was struggling to get through the day! But after a rather restful Saturday and a surprise present from the lovely Minnie, I knew I just had to get on blogging about it!

So not being lucky enough to have Sephora in England, and only getting to enjoy its goodies when I go to the States I was a pleased as punch to be given one of their snazzy black bags as a surprise present. This was waiting for me inside...

 Isn't it absolutely stunning?! I couldn't believe it how many eyeshadow colours I have now which is great as now can create much more bold and daring looks! Plus with the lipgloss and blush sides, it literally is an entire mass of different looks just waiting to be created - exciting! Here are my swatches:

I love the colours and even from the swatches have found that the colours have a strong pigment with a good contrast of matte, shimmery and bold colours - definitely impressed me and looking forward to use with primer to really bring out the colours. The lipglosses and blushers are the same with a spectrum of colours, mixed with glitter and matte - this makes me one happy bunny!

Anyway, I felt truly spoilt with this and cannot wait to try them all out (and then of course blog about all the different looks...)! So a massive, public thank you to Miss Minnie for such an awesome present :-D

Sunday Snow-Day FOTD

A happy snow day to you all! I know that the snow has caused people problems, and the moment it happens everyone seems to complain about it, but for me, snow is something magical. It's just beautiful, and there is that silence, y'know? The snow silence - first thing in the morning when you open your curtains with the bright white light streaming through, its just perfectly peaceful. I'm getting soppy over snow, yes, but for me it makes everything magical and I become a child again! Even if my silly old work won't give me the day off tomorrow despite piles of snow making it hazardous to leave the house - they clearly underestimate the power of snow. So here is my snow day look and adventures!

So because it was all white and wintery, I decided to go for a snow look with my make up using light silver, sheen eyeshadows and light pink lips. I used my beloved Naked2 palette 'Verve' and 'Pistol' eyeshadows to create this light silver, icy eye make up. I love 'Verve' as a colour; it doesn't look that silver in the box but when it is actually on it lightens to a bright silver sheen - perfect for a bright-eyed look! I used the 'Pistol' which is a more typical, darker silver shade just to add a bit of contrast on the edges, and then blended it all together. Then for a bit of a rosy glow, I used thrrrob over my cheeks and a bit over the nose to give me that flushed look. Ta-da! My snow look ready to go be used in the winter wonderland that was my road! I think my snowman date appreciated it!

Valentine's Glossybox.

Hello lovelies. So, it's my second week off work due to a vile virus that has completely knocked my system out and has kept me on bed rest for almost 14 days. I am going slightly (understatement...) stir crazy being on bed rest for so long and missing my job! What is worse I can't even blog regularly because its too exhausting to sit on the laptop so literally getting nothing positive out of all this time off work! Anyway, enough whining, I'm on antibiotics and improving everyday - woo! The point of this is that with being stuck inside the house all day it was such a lovely treat to get the bright pink Valentine's Glossybox through the postbox - especially as this special edition box will be my last for the near future. So here's my box:

What I love about Glossybox is their incredible presentation, it always arrives beautifully wrapped with a ribbon and colour co-ordinated! Especially this box, which has knocked the Christmas box presentation out of first place - how cute is that heart sticker and Glossybox sweet! Anyway, onto the products - I am happy with the products I got being familiar with most of the brands and eager to try them, especially the Eyeko eye kohl in 'Plum' which I swatched and has a pretty sheen to it, as well as the First Aid Beauty body wash. However, since seeing the mini Clarins products that others were receiving, I must admit, I did have my heart on getting them  - but alas, not so lucky, shall just have to look forward to reading the reviews about them!  The only item I'm not too sure about is the Murad Skin Perfecting Primer which seems a little too dark for my skin colour when I swatched it on my hand, but shall have to see if it looks any lighter on! 

Anyway, I'll review everything individually when I get a chance - just thought I'd post my little box of goodies for this month! Hope everyone is having a great week and if you get the chance, head over to my giveaway for some mini nail polishes and a book pendant necklace :)

Fabulous Fifty Giveaway!

Hello my lovelies! Sorry for the lack of blogging recently, I have been off work sick under advisement by the doctor for the past week and now have to go for blood tests to check out why I am so tired all the time - blech! Anyway, that's why I have been absent from writing but despite this I have still hit over the 50 followers mark so as a massive thank you for all those readers who actually find my ramblings worthy of reading I am holding a giveaway! Motel Rocks Spring Collection Preview - My Picks!

One of the best things about the changing of the seasons is the fashion changes that follow, giving a reason (as if you need one really...) to go shopping for a few select items to brighten up the winter wardrobe! Motel Rocks have definitely achieved this with their spring collection in bringing brighter colours and summery playsuits into their lookbook. Thanks to the lovely Selina at Motel Rocks, I can now share my favourite items of the new Spring collection with you all, so here they are:

Have you noticed a pattern? I can't help it! The playsuits in this season's collection just really caught my eye - especially the red lace number which combines two of my favourite qualities in a piece of clothing. However, changing it up for the last picture was the black, bodycon dress that has the sweetheart neckline - very 1950s with a modern twist!

Anyway, there we go! The collection is fantastic and recommend having a look at it in its entirety as its quite diverse in styling. If you do find anything you like, there is a 15% discount on the side of my blog - not trying to encourage anyone to go shopping or anything!
